What is an RSS Feed?

RSS is a way for websites to send out simple news and updates, in an easy to read, hassle free way.

RSS feeds can be read with an RSS reader. These show a feed as a series of short news items that you can browse through at your leisure.

The Diary of a Nobody RSS Feeds allow you to get daily updates from the diary, reading along in "real time" with Mr. Pooter.

How to get an RSS reader

An excellent and free RSS reader program is BlogExpress. But be warned that if you use BlogExpress you may also need the .NET framework, which is a 23MB download.

If you're after something a bit smaller, consider the free FeedReader.

You could also use an online service to read your RSS feeds, such as BlogLines, also free.

How to subscribe to a RSS feed

To subscribe to an RSS feed, right-click on the link (control-click for Mac users).

Select Copy Shortcut ("Copy Link to Clipboard" for Mac, or "Copy Link Location" if you use Firefox browser).

Then you can go to your RSS reader and paste the link in to subscribe to it.

So get cracking and download an RSS reader, and subscribe to thediaryofanobody.com's RSS feed:

/nobody/feed.xml.

Please note: this will subscribe you to a feed of this website's "official timeline". If you want to start from the beginning today please use this feed:
