In early December 2025, I started trusting AI agents to write the code for a client’s production web application. Over the following ten months, we delivered four times as many story points every week.
Before and after
The project began in September 2024. I joined the following April, refocused from demo code to shipping an initial production release, which we then added to throughout until final UAT of “v1”. From June to early December, we averaged 15 story points and eight completed tickets a week.
Then the agents crossed a practical threshold for me: I could hand over the implementation. In the 43 weekly cycles that followed, we delivered 2,548 points and 1,322 tickets.
